I stumbled upon this quote going through a Facebook page:
"My biggest luxury is to not have to justify myself to anyone."
A lot of times we are confined to mediocrity and under achievement because we aim to please every one of our relations. We supress our desires, hesitate to attempt and disengage with our core selves for fear of being judged. The result, we become a shell of ourselves, a puppet dancing to others' tunes.
The beauty of life lies in one's boldness to explore its adventures: For many of us we opt for the security of monotony, afraid of being judged, with few venturing out into the unknown.
Each day is a new canvas on which we decide to paint our stories. Living according to others' rules is, in my opinion, equivalent to forgery of a masterpiece, the value is just not there, no matter how good a forge it is.
Take chances, and fail, learn, succeed, fall, rise, love and get hurt..then you will be free. in the words of William W. Purkey: You've gotta dance like there's nobody watching,
Love like you'll never be hurt,
Sing like there's nobody listening, and live like it's heaven on earth.
Be Your Own!!
Love S.S!!!
